PALESTINE WILL NOT FALL, THE RESISTANCE WILL CONTINUE!

The “Aqsa Operation” carried out by numerous Palestinian organizations on 7 October 2023 is now entering its first year. Following this operation, the Zionist Israeli state escalated its long-standing violent attacks on Palestine, massacring nearly 42,000 Palestinians, including children. By focusing on Hamas’s involvement in the operation, Israel has accelerated its attacks, but looking at those who have lost their lives, it becomes clear that the issue is not limited to Hamas. For Zionist Israel, every Palestinian is considered a threat and has become the target of what can now be called genocide.

The Palestinian Resistance is Not Solely Controlled by Hamas!

One of the most important debates since October 7th has been the attempt to evaluate Palestinian resistance solely through the lens of Hamas. The Free Palestine that the Palestinian people aim to create has been the result of struggles led by different organizations for many years. It is not surprising that the national liberation organizations differ ideologically, giving the resistance its unique color. Prior to Hamas, other organizations also failed to fully represent the Palestinian people and their struggle. Thus, analysing the Aqsa Operation and the resistance that emerged after 7 October solely through Hamas serves the imperialist efforts to portray this as an Israel-Hamas war, which is misleading. The resistance of the Palestinian people against occupation is not under the sole control or direction of reactionary Hamas. The fight against Zionist Israel, due to its national nature, is legitimate and must be supported, regardless of leadership.

As Israeli Aggression Grows, So Does Support for the Palestinian People!

As the attacks, which have now reached their first anniversary, spread across the entire Middle East region through Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, thousands have been killed in Lebanon, and millions have been forced to flee their homes. The devastation experienced in Palestine continues to unfold in Lebanon as well. Israel, claiming to “eliminate terrorists and terrorist infrastructure with precision-guided munitions and close-range conflicts,” continues to massacre the people of the Middle East.

After 7 October, a global resistance against Israel began, with millions of people around the world taking to the streets to condemn the occupation and massacres, supporting the Palestinian people’s just cause. As they have in every regional war and occupation, imperialists continue to back the oppressors and sustain this genocidal occupation. However, the people of the world are becoming increasingly aware, raising their voices in opposition to the unjust wars and occupations that are the products of the crises experienced by imperialists.

The declaration of the “Week of Solidarity with Palestinian Resistance” from 1-7 October globally is significant. It is crucial not to remain silent about the genocidal attacks in Palestine, and standing in solidarity with this resistance against the ruling powers and expanding it in every area will be a reflection of the rising anger of the oppressed.

We must develop the common struggle of all democratic forces in Europe against unjust wars, fascism, and racism. As ATIK, we call on all local and migrant workers and laborers to join the solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance and fight against imperialist wars, racism, and fascism during the Week of Solidarity from 1-7 October.
